History:

The Department of Telugu was started in Sri Padmavathi Women’s Degree & P.G. College, TTD in 1952. The present strength of faculty is five members. One on permanent and the rest of three members are on contract basis as follows.

Vision

  • To make students learn the greatness of Telugu heritage, customs and traditions.
  • Explain the need of Telugu language which has been losing its importance survival.

Mission:

  • To explain the Social, moral and human values among the student community
  • To enlighten the students about the richness and importance of Telugu language
  • To encourage the students to listen, understand, read and write Telugu
  • To build life skills through value- based education and service – oriented programs
