History:

The Department of Telugu was started in Sri Padmavathi Women’s Degree & P.G. College, TTD in 1952. The present strength of faculty is five members. One on permanent and the rest of three members are on contract basis as follows.

Vision

To make students learn the greatness of Telugu heritage, customs and traditions.
Explain the need of Telugu language which has been losing its importance survival.

Mission:

To explain the Social, moral and human values among the student community
To enlighten the students about the richness and importance of Telugu language
To encourage the students to listen, understand, read and write Telugu
To build life skills through value- based education and service – oriented programs
