Sri Padmavathi Women’s Degree & PG College has two NSS units with more than 200 active student volunteers each year, from all respective years and programs. An open invitation is extended to all the students to enrol themselves as NSS Volunteers. The institution runs several activities enabling students to positively impact their surrounding Community.

NSS is a platform that aimed at providing every student with a potential context in which she can get a deeper ability of understanding the social reality in the society. It encourages civic involvement, social responsibility and personal development. We firmly believe in the ability of service to effect holistic transformation among students.

Motto

The Motto of NSS “Not Me But You”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS motto helps the students to encourage in fostering social responsibility & personal growth. The philosophy of the NSS is a good doctrine in this motto, which plays a pivotal role in the welfare of the society as a whole and therefore, the NSS student volunteers shall strive for the best for the nation well-being.

Objectives

The sole aim of the NSS Unit in college is to provide hands on experience to our students in delivering community services with a set of well-defined objectives.

These Include:

Community Service : Encouraging students to actively engage in Community Service Activities, Addressing Social Issues such as Education, Health & Hygiene, Environmental Conservation, Help in Natural Disasters, Rural Developments, Awareness Campaigns on girl education, Health Awareness Rallys etc.
Personality Development : Providing a Platform for students to develop Leadership skills, Enhance interpersonal communication, And Build a strong ethical foundation through various training programs and workshops.
Empathy And Social Awareness : To instill a sense of Empathy, Compassion and understanding towards the needs and challenges faced by weaker sections of the society.
Practice National Integration : Promotes mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance among students from different regions, religions, and cultures.
Encouraging Discussions and Workshops : There is an open invitation for the students involving regularly on issues of social importance, ethical relevance and moral values.
Campus Engagements : We strive to connect students, faculty, and staff through meaningful activities and events in the Campus. Our mission is to build inclusive campus environment. Encourage student participation in conducting clean and green programs.
Celebrate National commemorative days : With the great enthusiasm and ideology of nationalism and to pay tribute to our great National Leaders. We Celebrates/organizes national commemorative days, events and National festivals, which plays an important role in planting seed of Nationalism and Patriotism among students.
