The subject of Political Science B.A Course was introduced in the year 1956 with English medium by Mrs. C. Lalitha Reddy and she worked as a lecture and HOD.
After her prof. K.P. Kamala Menon was appointed as Head of the Department in the 1966 and continued in the same cadre till 1974. She was appointed as Principal of the College in 1975 till 1993. Meanwhile she acted as Devasthanam Educational Officer from 1993-1997. She received best Teacher Award in 1983 from AP government. Mrs.P.Sarojini Sherry was appointed as aLecturer in 1968. Dr.R.Y. Ramadevi worked as a lecturer from 1971 to 1998. Dr.N.Krishnavenamma served in the Dept as a lecturer from 1974 to 2005.She got Best Teacher award in 2004 from AP government. Miss T.Samrajya Lakshmi worked as a lecturer From 1976 to 2008. Smt.B.Meharunnisa Bee served as lecturer in the department from 1980 to 2010. At present Smt. K.Sai Kumari is the Head Of the Department and other faculty members include Sri T.Sreenath, Dr.K.Vijaya Kumari. All faculty members now working Are highly qualified, talented,experienced and committed to their duties. The faculty members lay emphasis on inclusion of modern teaching.
