OBJECTIVES OF THE CELL
- To counsel and guide SC/ST students studying at Sri Padmavathi Women’s Degree & PG College on various issues and to help them manage academic needs of a college life effectively.
- To ensure provision for an environment where all SC/ST students feel safe and secure while studying at the college.
- To provide prompt counseling for any grievances arising on account of any untoward incident towards SC/ST students, if any
- To implement the reservation policy for SC/ST students in the college and adhere to the guidelines of the UGC and Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- To provide support to SC/ST students on aspects of education, training and employment as required.
- To encourage and counsel SC/ST students on aspects of education, training and employment as required.
- To monitor the working of the scholarships of SC/ST students, whether SC/ST students received or not?.
REGULAR ACTIVITIES OF SC/ST STUDENTS CELL
- Celebration of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Birthday on 14th April Every Year.
- Monitor the sanctioning of scholarships through college office.
- Counsel of the SC/ST students for improving attitude and to build up necessary confidence for preparation to campus interviews, any grievances regarding academic, administrative or social problems.
ACTIVITIES OF THE CELL
The cell conducts activities related to the Career Guidance, organizes awareness meetings and Guest Lectures for SC/ST students.
