Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC)

About:

In pursuance of its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment & accreditation & quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system & work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement & sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent & catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. For this, during the post-accreditation period, it will channelize all efforts & measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.

Mission:

To appreciate the need for continuous value enhancement in the areas of teaching, learning and research for academic departments.
To realize the need for effectiveness in administrative sections that serves as foundation for efficient functioning of the college.
To devise and facilitate effective change strategies based on the quality analyses specific to departments and sections to fulfil the expectations of the industry and society.
To monitor and document the dividends of change which adds up to the milestones in the institution’s journey towards global standards.

Objectives:

To act as a Nodal Agency, to initiate, promote and sustain academic and administrative standards of the institution.
To create documentation and development of data base for quality improvement.
To adopt and disseminate the good practices besides creating exclusive window tab on HEI website for keeping the records/files of NAAC, Peer Team Reports, AQAR and Certificate of Accreditation Outcomes and regularly upload/ report on its activities, as well as for hosting the AQAR.
